Hi Product Hunt! 👋🏻
Life Dashboard started as a project I built for my own family. It brings together everything we need to stay organized: our calendar, a digest of important messages, the weather, and even sports scores.
It runs on a Raspberry Pi connected to a display, with a Hermes agent working in the background to keep each widget up to date. My wife and I can also talk to it through an iMessage channel.
I initially built it just for us, but after showing it to other people, many said they wanted one too.
So here’s the secret: this launch is less a traditional app release and more a guide for building and installing Life Dashboard yourself.
The interesting part is that the instructions are readable by both humans and AI agents. You can review and follow every step manually, or give the guide to an agent of your choice and have it handle the installation for you.
I think this is an interesting new way to describe and distribute software: not just as code or an installer, but as an auditable, agent-executable how-to guide.
