Make your AI-built sites look expensive and not like slop
Everything built with AI looks built with AI. Thanor fixes the input. Paste a full brief into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable or Bolt: palette, type scale, motion, structure section by section. New: an MCP server that pulls any prompt into your editor. Soon: a cloning tool that turns a site you admire into a design of your own. New prompts and components every week, and a community forming around it. For people who build and sell sites, designers starting out, SaaS devs and founders.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built a website builder first. It worked, and everything that came out of
it looked like everything that comes out of a website builder. So I deleted it.
That was the lesson: the model was never the bottleneck. Hand Claude or Cursor
the same brief twice and you get two very different pages. The variable is how
much art direction went in with it. Nobody ships a generic AI site because the
model is weak. They ship one because "make it modern and clean" is not a design
decision.
Thanor is the missing half: a full art direction per design, the palette, the
type, the motion, the structure section by section, written to be pasted whole
rather than trimmed down.
What is coming: a cloning tool you point at a site you admire to get a
direction of your own out of it; sections of premium UI components shipping as
real HTML, CSS and JavaScript you can customise, rather than prompts you have
to build first; a media library of backgrounds to drop into your own designs;
and a contributor programme where designers build directions for Thanor and are
paid for them. There is also a full course on the way, on Skool and YouTube, on
using the library to build sites that look like they cost five figures, and on
finding the clients who pay for them.
There is a second thing I care about as much as the library. I'm building a
community around Thanor: SaaS developers, founders, designers, agencies,
freelancers who build and sell sites for a living, and people who simply care
about UI and UX. The goal is not only to end up as the place people go for
premium AI design. It is to have a group behind it pulling the other way from
AI slop, toward work that is actually good.

Who hunted Thanor AI?
Thanor AI was hunted by Matteo Manco. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
