TextTrace
See what's hiding in your text.
Rewrite text contextually, find invisible Unicode characters, and clean formatting artifacts with focused, reviewable text tools.
We built TextTrace because AI-generated text can carry things you never intended to send - invisible characters, strange Unicode, formatting artifacts, and even possible watermark patterns.
Most tools try to answer, "Was this written by AI?" with an unreliable percentage. We wanted to solve a different problem: show people exactly what might be hidden inside their text and give them a way to clean it.
That led us to build a simple workflow: paste your text → inspect what’s there → remove unwanted artifacts → copy the cleaned version.
The watermark tool became the part we cared about most. Instead of claiming certainty, TextTrace highlights possible disruption points and rewrites them while preserving the original meaning.
We’re still improving it, so I’d genuinely love people here to try TextTrace.

Who hunted TextTrace?
TextTrace was hunted by Craft Digital. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
