Text2Calendar

Convert text, emails, and messages into calendar events

I built Text2Calendar to solve one boring workflow: manually copying meeting details from messages into Google Calendar. It converts text into a calendar-ready event from webpages, emails, and chats. The key difference is simplicity: highlight or paste text, get a pre-filled event link, keep your timezone correct, and don’t grant calendar access.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Text2Calendar because I kept doing the same annoying thing over and over: someone would send me a meeting date in plain text, and I had to manually recreate it in Google Calendar. This happened a lot with recruiter and HR messages, client chats, emails, and random web pages. Small task, but repeated often enough to become frustrating. So I built a lightweight tool that turns plain text into a ready-to-save calendar event. Right now Text2Calendar works as: a Chrome extension a web app a Telegram bot an API What I wanted to keep different from other tools was simplicity: highlight or paste text extract title, date, and time handle timezone properly generate a pre-filled Google Calendar link no direct calendar access required I also built most of it with Cursor, so this launch was not just about shipping a product, but also about learning a faster way to build and iterate. What I’d love feedback on: Does this feel like a real repeated pain point? Which format makes the most sense long term: extension, site, bot, or API? Where would you personally use it most: recruiter messages, emails, chats, or webpages? Thanks for checking it out.
