Hey Product Hunt, I built TexMax after getting tired of SMS APIs that rent you a number and charge per segment on top of a monthly fee. Most businesses already have an old Android phone lying around with a normal SIM plan, so TexMax turns that phone into your SMS gateway: your software calls our API, the paired phone sends the text over its real carrier connection, and replies come back through a webhook.
It's not trying to replace Twilio for massive marketing-blast volume — it's for teams who want simple, reliable two-way SMS (reminders, order updates, 2FA, support) without the per-message math or A2P 10DLC number-rental fees. Flat €15/month, no rented number.
