I'm one of two people behind Termiyo.
This started because of a habit I could not defend: every SSH client I used wanted my private keys on its servers so it could sync them to my phone. Convenient — until you read how that vault is actually encrypted.
So we built the client we wanted:
• The vault is encrypted on your device — Argon2id (64 MiB per attempt) and XChaCha20-Poly1305, per record. Sync is opt-in, and the encrypted export can be verified without the passphrase, so leaving is not a trap.
• Sessions survive. Close the laptop, open it in the morning, and your shell is exactly where you left it — without installing tmux on someone else's server.
• The things that actually break production are first-class: .env files edited atomically with permissions and ownership kept, hosts tagged prod/staging/dev, and automatic actions blocked on prod.
• The AI is optional and boring on purpose. It uses the CLI you already pay for (Claude, Codex, Gemini, Ollama), can only pick from a fixed list of actions, and shows you the exact command before anything runs.
Import reads ssh_config, PuTTY, Termius, FileZilla, WinSCP, MobaXterm and nine more, so moving over takes a minute.
