Termi

A terminal-styled home for music, books, and journaling

Termi is a terminal-styled hub for music, reading, and journaling in one app, no more switching between three separate tools. Real CRT scanlines and phosphor glow, not a filter. A reactive music visualizer and a distraction-free writing editor share one session, so your music keeps playing while you read or write. No accounts, no ads, no subscriptions ever. Termi Packages lets you hand-deliver a mixtape, quote, and note to one person device-to-device, like sharing a mixtape in person again.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt! I built Termi because I love retro aesthetics and got tired of every iOS app looking the same. It's a terminal and CRT-styled home for music, reading, and journaling, with real scanlines and phosphor glow, not a filter. I tried to bring back a lot of my favorite childhood features too, like a real reactive visualizer for music instead of static album art. Themes, fonts, and visualizer styles are a one-time Pro purchase, never a subscription. I also miss exchanging mixtapes and sharing media in person, so I built something for that called Termi Packages. You can bundle a mixtape, a book quote, and a page of your own writing into a signed, one-time, one-recipient file and hand it to someone in person through an in-app ritual, fully device-to-device, no server involved. Would love to hear what you think, and happy to answer anything about how it's built.
