TermAlert

Know what you're agreeing to

TermAlert is a free Chrome extension that intercepts accept and agree buttons, analyzes the Terms of Service using AI, and shows you what matters, before your click registers. Instead of going out of your way and spending the time (and focus) required to read the policy, you get an answer in seconds, without even doing anything.

Top comment

I don't think I've ever read a full privacy policy before agreeing to it. With so many tools leveraging LLM's now, I wanted to see if a product that analyzes policies for you already exists. Everything I found added un-wanted friction: you find a policy, copy the link, enter the link into a site, and you get a summarized analysis. I wanted a solution that gave me what I wanted without adding extra steps. That's why I created TermAlert. Bugs and edge cases are a given, especially since the product is just being released. If you encounter any situation where TermAlert isn’t working as intended, please let me know so we can fix it. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Who hunted TermAlert?

TermAlert was hunted by Abdullah Jaouni. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
