Tend

Is your Mac OK? A calm answer in your menu bar.

Most Mac monitors throw a wall of numbers at you; most "cleaners" try to scare you. Tend does neither. Hover the menu-bar icon and a calm panel tells you, in plain words, whether your Mac is OK — plus battery health and a gentle weekly summary. 100% local: no account, no tracking, no network requests.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Tend because I'm the kind of person who gets a little anxious about my Mac — is it overheating, is the memory maxed, is the battery dying? The existing options never helped: system monitors throw a wall of CPU/GPU numbers I have to decode, and "cleaner" apps just try to scare me into buying something. So I made the opposite — a calm companion that answers one question: Is your Mac OK? Hover the menu-bar icon and a quiet panel drops down with the answer first, in plain language ("All Smooth", "Memory Tight"), with the details below if you want them. A few things I cared about: - Battery health (cycle count + capacity) surfaced as a friendly verdict, instead of buried three menus deep. - A gentle weekly summary — a little wellbeing report for your Mac. - Privacy as the architecture, not a bullet point: Tend makes zero network requests. No analytics, no tracking, no account. Nothing leaves your Mac. - Native SwiftUI + AppKit, universal (Apple silicon + Intel), hand-localized in English, 简体中文, and 繁體中文. I also deliberately said no to top-process lists, GPU gauges, and cleanup "boosters." Tend answers one question and protects that line — that restraint is the whole point (and I know it won't be for everyone). It's a one-time purchase, no subscription. It's my first app and I'd genuinely love your feedback — what's confusing, what's missing, what you'd want next. Thanks for taking a look 🙏

Who hunted Tend?

Tend was hunted by Bailuo. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
