tenby10

A timesheet that writes itself and can't be rewritten

tenby10 records your work on your computer, writes a short daily note with your own AI key, and signs every entry the moment it happens. Your client opens one link to see the verified hours. No screenshots exist anywhere in it: the app contains no capture code at all.

Hi Product Hunters. I built tenby10, a tool that helps freelancers settle questions about billed hours. It writes and signs your timesheet for you. A client runs on your machine and records activity in 10-minute slots. Raw activity (window titles, keystroke and click counts) never reaches tenby10's servers. No screenshots can be taken. You don't have to take my word for it, the code is source-available and has an audit guide. The freelancer can configure their own LLM key, and customize the prompt to help measure what is productive in their context. Existing trackers that use screenshots are experienced as surveillance and erode the trust they're supposed to protect. tenby10 is the reverse: a tool that works for you so the day a question comes, the answer already exists. The client scores productive slots and generates a daily note that summarizes the day of work. The freelancer can then share a link with their customer, who will see an activity timeline, the daily notes, and the configuration of the client (including the prompt used to score the slots), to help them understand the billed hours. Site: https://tenby10.pivotalpoint.io What a customer sees: https://tenby10.pivotalpoint.io/... Source: https://github.com/pivotalpoint-... The client is free and source-available. The ability to host links to send to customers is free during the beta, then expected at around $9 a month. macOS is signed and notarized; Windows builds ship too, but not signed yet, SmartScreen will warn. Can this be faked? Partly, and I won't pretend otherwise. A modified client can produce records that look real. But each release is built from the public sources, the server puts its own receipt timestamp on every slot as it arrives, input heuristics detect synthetic keystrokes and clicks. The cost of faking rises above the cost of work. Either way the claim is that the record was written at the time and not rewritten afterwards, not that the work was honest.
