Understanding the whereabouts and availability of your team members isn't always easy, especially in the era of remote work. You can't simply peek over your cubicle to check if Gary from IT is in the office today. Having worked in various support organizations, both large and small, we've noticed they all face similar challenges when it comes to team collaboration. Temporal is our solution to these common pain points.

Our journey began in a company I was working at at the time as a small hobby 20%-time project to help manage our team of 10 people. Over time, it rapidly grew in popularity, with more people from becoming interested in expanding its capabilities to their teams. Today, we have 2,000 internal users from that company. After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from our internal users (and undergoing many refactoring cycles to accommodate that growth), we've decided to refactor it once again and make Temporal available to other companies and teams as a completely new SaaS solution.
