I’m Martin, an independent product designer and the maker of Tempo Focus.
Our phones and apps are built to compete for our attention. I believe attention is something we can rebuild and protect, and that our tools should help us do it. Tempo is my attempt to turn the iPhone from a source of distraction into a personal focus system.
The flow is simple:
• Bring in work you already planned in Linear or Apple Reminders
• Choose a task and start a Pomodoro or open-ended session
• Put distracting apps out of reach
• Leave Tempo on your desk with the timer and task visible
• Finish with a clear record of the focused time spent on that task, then use Labels, History, and Insights to understand where your attention went
Tempo is not trying to replace your task manager or optimize every minute. It helps you protect the time you choose to give to meaningful work.
