Telepromptme
Teleprompter that records you in 4K while you read
A teleprompter for iPhone, iPad and Mac that keeps your eyes on the lens: the script scrolls beside the camera while the app records you in up to 4K. Automatic captions, background removal, mirror mode and duplicate windows for rigs, remote control, PDF import, iCloud sync and a studio editor. No account, private by design, free to try; one purchase covers all three.
Hi Product Hunt. I'm Ian, and Telepromptme is the app I built because reading to camera always looked like reading to camera.
The trick is geometry: the script scrolls right next to the lens and the app records you at the same time, so there is no second device and no looking away. Everything that usually needs an editor afterwards happens in the same app: captions burned in from the script you just read, background removal without a green screen, trimming and export presets for each platform.
For people with a real rig, it mirrors text and whole screens and drives a second display. For everyone else, it's the phone you already have, propped under the camera.
It runs on-device: no account, scripts and recordings stay with you, and one purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. It's free to try, and there's a free browser version at telepromptme.com/online-teleprompter if you just need to read one script today.
Happy to answer anything about teleprompting, eye lines or the rig setups people use.
