TDE
Trade Decision Engine| Decision Support for Export/Import
TDE is a decision engine for UK–India trade, built for both importers and exporters. Enter your HS code and business figures to see route conditions, duty and policy changes, measured market signals, landed cost or exporter net realisation, and what your cash and inventory constraints allow. If the plan cannot satisfy every constraint, TDE shows the exact gap and the available trade-offs. Every figure is sourced, dated and labelled, with blind spots and misses published.
I started building TDE because small importers and exporters often make expensive decisions with less information than everyone else around them. The data exists, but it is scattered across customs records, shipping feeds, tariff systems and policy databases.
The product changed a lot while I was building it. It started much closer to a monitoring dashboard. Over time, I realised the useful part was the decision itself: what changed, what it means for your goods, what it does to cost, cash and inventory, and what your constraints actually allow.
That is what TDE is now built around. It combines public trade data with the user’s own business figures, shows the trade-offs clearly, and keeps the assumptions, blind spots and misses visible.

Who hunted TDE?
TDE was hunted by Danha Aung Htwe. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
