TCalc.it
The calculator that actually understands time
TCalc.it parses almost any time format — just type how you think about time: "2h 30m + 45m" → 3h 15m · "14:30 to 16:45" → 2h 15m · "22:00 to 6:00" → 8h (overnight) · "NOW + 90d" → deadline date · "01:00:00:12f24" → SMPTE timecode · "1737100000UNIX" → readable date. Type-safe: knows durations vs dates, so you never get nonsense. 15+ formats: decimal hours, FPS timecodes, ISO 8601. 6 modes for HR, film, dev, logistics & accounting. PWA with cloud sync. Android out now, iOS soon.
Hey Product Hunt! I built TCalc.it because I was tired of converting time to decimals to do basic math.
I'm a developer, and I kept running into the same problem — adding sprint hours, converting timestamps, calculating deadlines. Every tool out there made me think in decimals instead of actual time. So I built a calculator that just gets it.
Type "2h 30m + 45m" and you get "3h 15m". Type "17:30 - 09:00 - 30m" and you get your work hours. It parses almost anything
— durations, dates, timecodes, UNIX timestamps, even "NOW".
TCalc.it knows the difference between a duration (a span of time) and a datetime (a point in time). So it won't let you add two dates together
I built 6 specialized modes for the people who deal with time the most: HR teams calculating overtime, film editors working with timecodes, devs converting timestamps, truckers tracking driving limits, and more. Each mode comes with custom buttons and converters tailored to that workflow, but is fully customizable.
It's free to use with a Pro tier for unlimited customization and cloud sync. Would love your feedback — what time calculations drive you crazy?
