Hi everyone! I'm the developer of TaskView. I've been building it solo. TaskView is a project and task management platform that you run on your own server. Kanban, sprints, time tracking, task dependencies, git integrations (GitHub, GitLab, Gitea), Slack and Telegram notifications, iOS and Android apps. The free Community Edition has no user limit. SAML/OIDC SSO are also in the free edition. I think login security should not be a paid feature. There is an MCP server, so Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code can work with your tasks. It runs as a Docker container or via npx. Some honest notes. The code is source-available, not OSI open source: you can self-host it, use it inside your company and fork it, but you cannot resell it as a hosted service. There is no wiki and no custom task types yet. I would be glad to hear your feedback.

Who hunted TaskView?

TaskView was hunted by Nikolai Giman. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
