I built Tangerin AI after watching the same scene play out in company after company: someone in finance pastes a spreadsheet into ChatGPT, someone in legal uploads a contract to a summarizer, and nobody in IT knows any of it happened. Gartner puts it at 98% of companies having ungoverned AI use. McKinsey found 51% of companies using AI have already had a negative consequence from it.
The uncomfortable part isn't the usage — it's that when a regulator or an enterprise customer asks "which AI tools touch your data, and prove it," most companies have no answer.
Tangerin AI answers that. It discovers which AI tools are actually in use — through a lightweight endpoint agent, or agentlessly by reading logs from the NGFW/SIEM you already run — resolves each one against a catalog of 5,600+ AI tools, and turns that into auditable evidence across 24 regulatory frameworks, including LGPD, ISO 42001 and the EU AI Act.
One deliberate constraint: it records which tool was used, when, and on which machine. It never captures prompts, conversations or files. That's architecture, not a setting — governance shouldn't require surveillance.
It's built for Brazilian and Latin American companies first, where LGPD and sector regulators (BACEN, SUSEP, ANS) are already asking these questions.
