Tangent: Drawing Practice
A drawing practice app for people who want to draw more.
Tangent gives you a prompt, a technique, a material and an intention — four things that combine into one unique creative session. Spin the wheels, set a timer, make something. • 2 million+ unique prompt combinations • 28 guided studio exercises • Reference library with Met Museum artwork • Daily prompts and session journal • Free to start. No account needed. Works offline.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built Tangent because I kept meaning to draw more and never did. The blank page was the problem — not the time, not the materials, not the ability.
So I made an app that removes that moment. Spin four wheels — a subject, a technique, a material, an intention — and you get a unique combination. Set a timer and go make something.
It started as a personal tool. Then I added guided exercises, a reference library, Met Museum artwork, a session journal. It became something I actually use every day.
Would love to know what you think — and if you draw, give it a spin. Literally.
