What inspired us / The problem: The idea for TalentSage was born out of pure frustration with the status quo in hiring. We saw teams drowning in repetitive admin, making critical talent decisions based on gut feelings or biased, unstructured interviews, and watching great candidates slip through the cracks. The existing tools were just digital filing cabinets they didn't intelligently evaluate or predict fit. We wanted to build the tool we wished we had: one that uses AI to eliminate bias, provide data-driven clarity, and automate the grunt work so recruiters can focus on people, not paperwork.
How our approach evolved: When we first started, we thought the solution was simply an AI matching engine to score resumes against job descriptions. But as we talked to recruiters and HR leaders, we realized the real problem was deeper: you can't match what you can't truly verify. This led us to build our Skill Veracity program, with Brain Tests (knowledge assessments) and Brain Tasks (practical, project-based assessments). We then integrated this with a full ATS + CRM, automation agents, and analytics because we learned that hiring teams need a unified operating system, not another siloed tool. Our evolution was from a "matching score" to a "talent intelligence platform" that ensures every evaluation is fair, verified, and actionable.
