Hey Hunters!
I built Taksym because I kept hitting the same wall on streaming services: the search box is great at finding a track, but it can't answer "play me 30 minutes of dark synthwave for a night drive." Mood-based discovery still mostly boils down to algorithm-picked playlists you didn't actually ask for.
So I tried something different: an entirely AI-generated catalog (Lyria 3) where Gemini assembles a real listening journey from your prompt — energy build, peak, cooldown, with a one-line reason on every pick so you can see why it chose what it did. There's also an endless mode that auto-refills the queue from the same prompt, and a "passport" that tracks the genres you actually play.
Building it changed how I thought about playlists. Most algorithms optimize for "will this user like this song?" but the real magic is sequencing — a great mix isn't 12 good tracks, it's the right transition between tracks 4 and 5. Forcing Gemini to think in arcs (instead of just "pick 12") was the biggest unlock.
