I’m thrilled to introduce TabDelta, built by the team at Ogro-Projukti.
What inspired us to build this?
We are an R&D-driven startup focused on low-cost, infrastructure-friendly open-source technologies. We built TabDelta because we believe powerful web workflows shouldn’t require a 32GB RAM workstation or unlimited high-speed broadband to run smoothly. In many parts of the world, mid-spec hardware and metered data plans are the everyday reality—meaning silent background browser leaks can completely halt a user's productivity.
The problem we are solving:
Most browser tab managers only focus on visual clutter, and Chrome's built-in task manager is completely passive—you usually only open it after your machine is already freezing. TabDelta tackles this by turning raw performance metrics into an automated, proactive shield that warns you before hidden websites lag your PC or waste your internet.
Our approach & features:
🛑 Custom Threshold Alerts: Set strict caps on memory heap or network usage per tab. If an unoptimized background script or video ad breaches your limit, TabDelta alerts you instantly so you can kill it.
⏳ Attention Tracking: Map your true active tab engagement time to separate your vital workspaces from idle tabs eating background resources.
🔒 Local-First Privacy: Zero cloud infrastructure, zero data tracking. We chose this architecture so that 100% of the processing happens entirely client-side on your own machine. We built it using Vite and React to keep our own footprint as lightweight as possible.
