Tabby Picks

The best shots from your camera roll, picked on-device

After every trip I had hundreds of near-identical photos and could never pick the few worth sharing. Tabby Picks does it for you — 100% on-device. More than a de-duper: it weighs sharpness, exposure and composition, groups bursts & look-alikes and keeps the best of each, and sets blurry/over/under-exposed shots aside, with a reason. Built on Apple Vision + a Core ML model I trained for night shots. No upload, no account, works in Airplane Mode. Never deletes your originals — you decide. Free.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm JoJo, a solo dev — Tabby Picks is my first app. It solves a problem I hit constantly. After every trip I come back with hundreds of photos — I shoot in burst, and take a few "just in case" frames of every pose — then waste an evening opening them one by one to find the few worth keeping. I wanted a fast first pass, right on my phone. The hard part wasn't building the screens — it was getting the picks right. Most of my time went into teaching it what "good" means: calibrating sharpness and exposure thresholds against thousands of my own photos, handling the tricky cases (a deliberate recomposition isn't a duplicate; intentional bokeh isn't a bad shot), and training a small on-device model just for night scenes. It all runs on Apple Vision + Core ML, so nothing ever leaves your phone. It's completely free, and natively localized in English, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. I'd love your feedback — especially where its picks don't match what you'd have chosen. And I'm curious: how do you handle culling after a big trip or shoot today? 🐈
