Tab Shelf
Close your tabs without losing them
Tab manager extension for Chrome and Edge that saves the tabs you aren't using to a shelf on yoOne click closes the tabs you aren't using and saves them to a shelf on your computer, grouped by site. Search the shelf and reopen any tab with a click. No account. Free for Chrome and Edge, and Pro is $4.99 once.ur computer and closes them, so you can reopen any of them later.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Niven. I'm a designer, and I built Tab Shelf because I often run out of memory on my Mac because I keep far too many tabs open. I don't want to close them, since I always mean to come back to them later. That's where the idea for Tab Shelf came from: a place to keep tabs for later.
You click Clean tabs, or press Alt+Shift+S and then Enter. The tab you're on and your last few tabs stay open, and so do pinned tabs and anything playing sound. Everything else goes on a shelf stored in your browser, grouped by site. Press / to search it and click a tab to bring it back.
Your tabs stay on your computer and there's no account. The extension sends anonymous usage counts so I can see what to fix (never URLs or titles), and one checkbox turns that off.
Pro is $4.99 once, with a 7-day trial and no card. It adds Resume Points, which reopen a tab at your scroll spot or the second you paused a video, and Autopilot, which shelves tabs you haven't touched in a while.
I'm here all day. What would you need to see before you'd trust an extension with your tabs?
