Tab Review Marker
Turn open tabs into a visible review queue
Mark each source as To Review, Reviewed, or Needs Attention directly on its favicon. Add notes, keep duplicate tabs in sync, and export a local review queue for ChatGPT, Claude, or Codex without sending page content anywhere.
Hi Product Hunt,
I built Tab Review Marker after watching a product manager work through a large set of documents, dashboards, and recordings for a decision brief. The information was open, but its review state lived in memory. Important evidence was missed while less relevant sources received too much attention.
I wanted the browser itself to show what had happened, without introducing another dashboard. Tab Review Marker adds one of three small badges to the original favicon:
○ To Review
✓ Reviewed
! Needs Attention
The marker remains visible in the tab strip while you read. You can add a note, see the marked sources in the current window, and export the review list for ChatGPT, Claude, or Codex.
Privacy was a product constraint, not a footer detail. Review data stays in Chrome's local storage. There is no account, backend, analytics service, advertising, or page-content extraction. The extension exports source metadata only when you explicitly ask it to.
This is a free product and still an early one. I would especially value feedback on three questions:
1. Are the favicon states recognizable when many tabs are open?
2. Does the marking flow feel immediate enough?
3. Where else would a visible review state help your workflow?
Thank you for trying it.
