Syutto

Quick notes from a button that floats on your screen

Syutto puts a small button on your screen. Press it and a note opens right over the app you are using — without taking focus, so your video keeps playing. Click away to close; it saves itself. A native Mac app, no account. $3.99 once.

Top comment

Hi everyone 👋 I'm yamashin, a solo developer in Japan. I built Syutto because of a small, repeated annoyance: every time I wanted to jot something down — a number from a call, a command, a half-formed idea — I had to leave what I was doing. Switch apps, lose the page I was reading, then find my place again. Syutto is a button that floats on your screen. Press it and a note opens on top of the app you're in. It doesn't take focus, so the video keeps playing and the field you were typing in keeps its cursor. Click anywhere outside and it's gone — saving is automatic. You can drag the button wherever you like, or hide it and use ⌃⌥M. It's a native SwiftUI app, around 18 MB while resident. No account, no subscription — $3.99 once. The newest version adds a ring around the button: press one of its four quarters and the note opens in that direction. I'd love to hear what feels wrong or missing. I'm reading every comment.
