Top comment

I built SyslogWatch because testing and monitoring syslog traffic on a Mac often means using terminal commands or heavyweight cross-platform tools. I wanted a native, focused dashboard that makes incoming UDP and TCP events immediately visible while keeping log data local by default. The product evolved through real App Store testing with RFC 3164 and RFC 5424 messages, severity filtering, live search, alert rules, window recovery, and privacy-focused local storage.
