sync-worktrees

Bootstrap every repo, sync every branch, for you and your AI

Keep every Git branch across every repo checked out as a folder you can cd into — auto-synced with the remote and exposed to your AI agents over MCP. No stashing, no re-cloning, no re-explaining your codebase to Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Windsurf.

Hey Product Hunt sync-worktrees started as a tool to bootstrap my own repos — one config that lays down every project's Git setup so a fresh machine is ready in one command. Then AI agents crept further into my daily work, and worktrees stopped being a nice-to-have. If I wanted an agent to actually move across branches and repos, every branch had to be on disk, in reach, and in sync — not stashed away or one git checkout removed. So I combined the two ideas: set up your projects' Git once, keep every branch checked out as its own synced folder, and let your AI agents work on them directly. That's the whole tool. It ships an MCP server too, so assistants like Claude or Cursor see the exact workspace you do — "look in the other repo" just works. It's free and open source. I'd love feedback on the config format and the TUI — and I'm curious how others are wiring AI agents into multi-repo workflows today.
