Sync Tunes

Real-time music jamming with friends-queue, chat, vibe.

My crush and I used to love listening to music together. But there was always a catch, we could only share that moment when we were physically together. We tried apps like Rave, but it felt heavy on data and wasn’t really built for music. Spotify jam sessions needed Premium, and back in our college days, that was just out of reach. So most of the time… we just couldn’t listen together. I’ve been building apps since college, and somewhere in between coding and late-night thoughts, I decided to build something just for us. Not to launch a product. Not to start a company. Just to stay connected. That’s how I built a simple music jamming app—with real-time synced playback and live chat—so we could listen, talk, and share music even when we were miles apart. What started as something personal turned into Sync Tunes.

Who hunted Sync Tunes?

Sync Tunes was hunted by Deepak Ranganathan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
