Sweepr
Swipe away photos you don't want, shrink the ones you do
Every photo cleaner asks you to delete. Sweepr gives you two ways out of a full phone. SWIPE. One photo at a time, full screen. Right keeps, left deletes, double tap undoes the card you just swiped. Nothing goes until you confirm. OR DON'T DELETE IT. A second deck shrinks the heavy ones instead: full resolution, same date, place and album, only the file gets lighter. Videos too, 4K to 1080p in place. No fake scan, no invented numbers, and nothing leaves your phone.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Sweepr because every photo cleaner I tried asked me to do the one thing I will not do: delete my kid's photos to make room.
So Sweepr gives you two ways out of a full phone.
1. Swipe. One photo at a time, full screen. Right keeps, left deletes, double tap undoes the card you just swiped, long press shows the file. Nothing is removed until you confirm through the iOS sheet, and it lands in Recently Deleted, where iOS holds it for 30 days.
2. Or don't delete it at all. A second deck collects only the photos above a size you set, and in that deck swiping right compresses instead of deleting. Full resolution, same date, same place, same album. Only the file gets lighter. Videos too: pick a smaller size and a frame rate, and 4K becomes 1080p in place.
Two things I cared about while building it:
🔍 No fake scan. No "analyzing 12,480 files" screen, no invented number behind a paywall. If re-encoding a photo would save less than 10 percent, Sweepr tells you it is already optimal and leaves it alone.
🔒 Nothing leaves your phone. No account, no sign up, no server. It works offline. The only network traffic is iOS pulling your own originals from iCloud.
Free gives you 50 swipes a week. Pro unlocks unlimited swipes, photo and video compression and full statistics, and there is a Lifetime one-time purchase, because not everything needs to be a subscription.
It speaks 10 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Ukrainian and Simplified Chinese.
I would love to hear what you would add next. And if you try it, tell me how many gigabytes you got back 🙏

Who hunted Sweepr?
Sweepr was hunted by Devid Gruts. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
