Hi Product Hunt, I'm the solo developer behind SVD. SVD is a native Mac and Windows app built on yt-dlp: paste a link, pick the quality, and save it. No terminal. What's new since our last launch is live recording, the part I care about most: - Watch & Auto-Record: add stream URLs, and SVD starts recording the moment they go live - Schedule: set a start (and end) time and walk away - If a stream drops, SVD keeps watching and records a new part when it's back, and you can merge the parts into one file Honest limits: SVD works with public streams and videos only, and it doesn't support DRM services. I'd like to know where it breaks for you. If a site or stream doesn't work, tell me which one and I'll look into it.

Who hunted SVD?
SVD was hunted by byjwstudio. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
