sustainability-score

Static analysis tool that scores your repo carbon efficiency

sustainability-score reads your code repository and scores it across five sustainability pillars grounded in the Green Software Foundation's SCI specification. Think of it like a code quality scanner, but for carbon and cost efficiency. It checks: - Code / Algorithm Efficiency (30%) - Cloud Infrastructure Choices (25%) - Containerization (15%) - CI/CD Practices (15%) - SRE / Operations (15%) No code execution needed. No cloud credentials. Pure static analysis. Every finding is stamped with

I built this because most static analysis tools tell you if your code is correct — none tell you if it is efficient in the energy sense. The tool is intentionally honest about its limits. Every finding is Tier 1 (static analysis only) and the report says plainly it is directional, not a measurement. Carbon washing is a real problem and I did not want to add to it. Try it: pip install -e . sustainability-score /path/to/repo --md report.md Would love feedback from the community — especially on the scoring model and evidence tiers.
