Surco
Get your DJ tracks ready in seconds, not minutes
Surco automates DJ track prep. Convert to lossless AIFF, WAV or FLAC (or a lighter MP3), tag artist/label/BPM/key straight from Discogs and Bandcamp, and file everything into Apple Music — what used to take four or five apps, in one click and a couple of seconds per track. It also draws the spectrum and catches re-encoded MP3s disguised as lossless, so a fake hi-fi file never reaches your set. Exports to rekordbox, Traktor, Serato and Engine DJ. macOS & Windows. Free forever.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm a DJ, and prepping a track meant juggling five apps: a converter, Discogs in the browser, a tag editor, a spectrum analyzer to spot fake lossless, and Apple Music. Minutes per track, multiplied by a whole crate. Surco collapses that into one app. Drop your files and it converts to lossless (AIFF/WAV/FLAC) or MP3, pulls tags, BPM, key and cover from Discogs and Bandcamp, draws the spectrum to catch MP3s dressed up as lossless, and files everything into Apple Music with the artwork embedded — in a couple of seconds per track. When the set's ready, export the queue to Rekordbox, Traktor, Serato or Engine DJ. The spectrum part is my favorite: some "lossless" files are just low-quality MP3s in disguise, and they sound worse on a big system. Surco flags them before they reach your set. It's keyboard-first (⌘K command palette), free forever, open source (GPL-3.0), and runs on macOS and Windows. No account, no subscription. Would love your feedback — especially from other DJs. What's your current track-prep workflow?
