SunSeat
Pick the window seat with shade, sunsets or the view
SunSeat works out where the sun will be along your route and tells you which window seat to take - shade, sunrise, sunset, or the best view. Flights and coaches, following the real road rather than a straight line. No ads, no tracking, no account needed.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I like the window seat, but I could never tell which side was
the good one. Some flights I spent four hours with the sun in
my face, others I watched the sunset the whole way. Same
flight, same ticket - the only difference was the letter on
the boarding pass.
So I built SunSeat.
You enter where you are going and when. It works out where the
sun will be at every point along the route and tells you which
window to take: for shade, for the sunrise or sunset, or for
the view.
It also tells you what you will actually see out there - which
cities, mountains and coastlines pass on which side, and how
far into the journey they come.
It covers coaches too, which turned out to be the harder half.
A straight line between two stations gives the wrong answer,
so it follows the real road.
No ads, no tracking, and you do not need an account.
I would love to hear which routes you try it on, and where it
gets things wrong.

SunSeat was hunted by Salih Kaan Koç. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
