Sudoku by Ibexo

Sudoku without gamification. No ads, no streaks, no points.

Most Sudoku apps are built to bring you back tomorrow. This one lets you stop. No ads, no streaks, no points, no push. Hints show where to look, then name the technique and the cell. Free for 15 days or 15 puzzles, then $2/month, $10/year or $20 once.

Hi, I'm Tobias from Zug, Switzerland. I have played Sudoku on my phone for years, and every app I tried put a layer of stuff between me and the puzzle: an ad after every box, streaks, a daily challenge that nagged, points I never asked for. "I just want to play sudoku" shows up in thousands of app reviews, and it was my sentence too. So this is a Sudoku without the game around it. Eight levels from Beginner to Extreme, rated by the hardest technique a human needs (up to X-Wing, XY-Wing and Swordfish), plus 6×6 and 16×16. Works offline, no account, no tracking. The part I care about most is the hints. Two steps: first only where to look, so you can still find it yourself. Then which technique applies and why, with row and column named. One more tap makes the move. Honest limitations: phone only for now (it runs on iPad as an iPhone app), English and German in the game, no variants like Killer or Thermo, and none planned. If a hint explains something badly, tell me here. That is the feedback I want most.
