Subo 1.3
Subscription tracking built around what’s next
Subo 1.3 rebuilds the app around what happens next. A new Upcoming view brings your next renewal, a visual monthly calendar, attention-worthy events, and upcoming payments into one clear place. It’s designed to help you see what’s coming without digging through a list. Still private by design, with on-device data, optional iCloud sync, and no bank connection.
Hey Product Hunters,
I first launched Subo here last year, shortly after releasing it on the App Store. The response was far bigger than I expected: you helped Subo reach #4 Product of the Day, and many of the people who discovered it here stuck around, shared feedback, and helped shape what it is today. A year later, I’m back with the biggest update I’ve made to Subo yet.
Subo started as a beautifully simple, private, native iOS app for keeping track of subscriptions. But after watching how people use it, talking to users, and doing a lot of research with the community, one thing became clear:
Knowing what you have is useful. But day to day, the question you really want answered is: what’s next?
That became the starting point for Subo 1.3.
The app now opens to a completely new Upcoming experience. Your next renewal is right up front, a visual calendar gives you a clear view of the month, and Heads Up surfaces trials ending, subscriptions expiring, and other things worth your attention.
The goal is simple: open Subo and understand what matters without digging through a list.
The things I care about most haven’t changed. Your data still stays on your devices with optional iCloud sync, there’s no bank connection, and you still don’t need another recurring subscription just to track the ones you already have.
I’ve been working on this update for quite a while, through many iterations and with a lot of feedback from the Subo Research Crew and beta testers. It feels much closer to what I always wanted the app to become.
I’d especially love your feedback on the new Upcoming view: when you open it, does it immediately tell you what you need to know?
Much love,
Niclas
