SubLimit

Subcontracting-limit math for small federal contractors

SubLimit is Windows software for small-business federal contractors on set-aside contracts. Import your payroll and subcontractor exports and it calculates the limitations-on-subcontracting percentage, with every figure linked to the source row it came from. Unknowns are flagged, never guessed. Your data stays on your computer, and it never certifies or submits anything. There is a free browser calculator (no sign-up), and the app has a 30-day no-card trial.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Abel, and I build SubLimit. Small federal contractors on set-aside work have to stay under the limitations on subcontracting (FAR 52.219-14 / 13 CFR 125.6). The common mistake is tracking it in hours. The clause measures what the government paid you against what you paid subcontractors that aren't similarly situated, and a sub's status is something you prove with dated evidence, not a label. SubLimit does that arithmetic exactly from the payroll and subcontractor exports you already have, links every number back to its source row, and lists anything it can't verify instead of guessing. It runs on your own Windows PC; nothing is uploaded, and your officer still reviews, certifies and submits. If you just want to check a number, the free calculator on the site runs in the browser with no sign-up. If you've been through an SBA review on this, I'd really like to hear where the edge cases bit you.
