Hey everyone 👋 I'm Joel, the founder of Strike Mission. This was a classic "built to solve my own problem." I wanted notifications sent to me when the best waves in the world were about to be on but the top forecast apps like Surfline just don't let you do that. The deeper I dug, the more I realised the major apps don't really work for travel at all. And not just international travel even local travel. They're mostly built for monitoring your home break. So I needed a way to actually rank conditions, and that's where the Strike Score came in, the system the whole app is built around. Every day is scored on swell direction, swell size, wind, period, tide, and more, and then every break is scored based on that. The more I played with it and tweaked it, the more it made sense, and the more I realised it was actually a novel idea. No one was doing this. The other thing I love about it: you can add and follow your own spots. That might be your local breaks at their best, secret spots with fickle conditions you've been waiting to time right, or well-known breaks with your own requirements dialled in. Because everyone's idea of perfect is different. Some people want to surf Cloudbreak at 3ft, some want it at 20ft. The beauty of Strike Mission is you make it work for you. Today it covers 1,100+ spots across 115+ countries, scores the next 10 days, and even surfaces flight deep-links so you can go from "that looks epic" to booked in a couple of taps. A couple of principles I held to: Would love your feedback, especially from surfers. yew 🤙🏼
