I'm the founder — been quietly building this for the past 3 months, and today felt like the right time to put it out there properly.
StoryCard started as a personal frustration. I kept recommending YouTube videos to my audience and every time it was the same painful process: open Canva, find a template, download the thumbnail manually, type the title, adjust everything, export. For something I was doing multiple times a week, it made no sense.
The thing is, I'd noticed this problem for a while. Sharing a YouTube video on Instagram Stories — whether it's your own content or something you loved and want to recommend — has always been weirdly broken. You either drop a bare link that nobody taps, or you cobble together a layout from a screenshot and hope it doesn't look like a mess. There was no good middle ground.
So I built the simplest fix I could think of: paste a YouTube link, pick a template, download the card. That's it.
What surprised me is that a lot of people found it and started using it before I told anyone it existed. That gave me enough confidence to launch here today.
