StopBurnout is a Windows app that enforces regular, hard-to-skip breaks after focused work. Full-screen overlay on every monitor, three protection levels up to No way out, 100% local — no account, no network, no tracking. Install and start.
I built Stop Burnout because I often get completely absorbed in work and stay at my computer for hours without realizing how much time has passed.
Normal break reminders were too easy to ignore, so I wanted something stronger: an app that can actually enforce a break by temporarily blocking your computer until the break ends.
While building it, the idea evolved from a simple timer into different enforcement levels, so users can choose how strict the app should be.
This is an early release, and I’d really appreciate your feedback—especially on the experience, enforcement modes, and what features would make it more useful.
