I built this because I kept running into the same frustration — I knew I should be setting trailing stop orders on my positions, but every time I tried, I'd stare at the broker's "trailing stop %" field and have no idea what number to enter.
The percentage a broker asks for is relative to the current price, not your profit. So if you want to protect 95% of a $10 gain on a $100 stock, the math isn't obvious — it's 0.50%, not 95%.
I couldn't find a free tool that did this translation cleanly, so I built one. You enter your cost base, current price, and how much profit you want to lock in — and it gives you both the stop-loss price AND the exact trailing stop % to paste into your broker.
It's free, no sign-up, works on mobile, and has copy buttons so you can paste the numbers straight into your order form.
