Stated

Privacy-first AI finance tracker

Every personal finance app asks for your bank login. You hand over credentials to a third party, hope they're secure, and pray nothing leaks. For millions of people, that's a dealbreaker. The alternative? Spreadsheets that never get updated, or just... not knowing where your money goes. Stated lets you track spending, set budgets, and get AI-powered insights — just by uploading a bank statement PDF. No bank login, no personal info, no risk.

I built Stated because I was tired of every finance app demanding my bank login before I could even see what it does.

I'm based in the UAE, managing accounts across multiple countries and currencies. Every budgeting app I tried either didn't support my banks, required credentials I wasn't comfortable sharing, or just didn't work outside the US/UK fintech ecosystem.

So I asked a simple question: **why can't I just upload a bank statement and get the same insights?**

That's exactly what Stated does. Drop in a PDF, CSV, or Excel statement and you instantly get:
- Auto-categorised transactions (AI-powered, learns your habits)
- Budgets with real-time tracking
- Recurring payment detection (catch those forgotten subscriptions)
- AI insights on your spending patterns
- Cash flow projections
- Multiple currency support

Everything is encrypted with AES-256 the moment it hits the server. No bank connections, no personal info required to sign up.

**What's next:**
- MCP so you can access your data through Claude
- More bank parsers (currently 19+ supported but most will work out the box)
- Goal-based savings tracking
- Shared household budgets
- Multiple users (accountants, business partners)
- Mobile app

I'd love your feedback — what would make this useful for you? Happy to answer any questions in the comments.
