StarSkew
See unusual Amazon review patterns before you buy.
StarSkew adds a privacy-light risk badge beside Amazon star ratings. It checks public rating metadata for unusual patterns, requires no account, and it is clear that a red badge is a second-opinion signal, not proof of fraud.
I built StarSkew after seeing too many Amazon pages where the stars looked perfect, but the review pattern felt off.
The extension reads public rating metadata already on the page (average, count, histogram, velocity) and shows a badge: Looks Genuine, Mixed Signals, Unusual Patterns, or Not Enough Reviews.
It does not read review text, does not need an account, and does not claim to prove fraud. Demo: https://youtu.be/fX2bChgv3Gw
Happy to answer questions about the signals or privacy model.

Who hunted StarSkew?
StarSkew was hunted by Marcus Byer. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
