StackWitness
Is it you or the vendor? We measure.
StackWitness independently probes the services you depend on from multiple regions, pairs that with the vendor's own status feed, and backs a customer status page that refuses a false green, so at 3am you know them-or-you instead of guessing.
Most uptime tools answer "is my URL up?" Vendor status pages answer "what does the vendor admit?"
StackWitness answers the question that burns SaaS teams:
**Is it you, or the vendor?**
What we built:
1. **Independent multi-region probes** of the dependencies you actually use (Stripe, OpenAI, Cloudflare, and the rest of the free truth pages).
2. **Vendor self-report alongside our reading**, so lag and blind spots are visible.
3. **Status pages that refuse a false green** when evidence is partial or regions disagree.
4. **Private dependency weather** when a declared vendor is red and your service is still up: warn the team without painting a public major by itself. Public upstream evidence on open incidents follows your policy.
5. **Pro packaging that inverts Statuspage taxes**: private/audience pages and unlimited subscribers included, instead of metering your audience. List $29 (launch $20); free tier includes the wedge. Pro/Team add TLS cert expiry, seats with invites; Team adds on-call.
We are not a full observability suite and we are not "cheaper Hyperping." We are the outside measurement layer and an honest status surface.

Happy to answer: how reachability differs from "operational," what we never claim, and MCP for agent ops.

Who hunted StackWitness?
StackWitness was hunted by Kevin O'Shea. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
