Hey Product Hunt 👋 Recently, I built my own agent harness and ran into a problem pretty quickly: my agent wasn’t actually autonomous. It could reason, use tools, call APIs, and execute workflows, but the moment it needed to pay for its own compute, manage money, trade, or make a financial decision, it got stuck. It still depended on me or on a bunch of separate API keys and integrations. That’s why I started building Squid Pay. Squid is the financial infrastructure layer for AI agents. It lets agents pay for compute and services, hold and move money, trade, and execute financial actions without stitching together a different API for every single function. But the part I care about most is the Brain. Before a financial action is executed, it goes through Squid Brain, which checks the transaction against permissions, spending rules, risk, and the agent’s context. So the goal isn’t just to give an AI agent a wallet or a card. It’s to give it financial autonomy with an actual control layer behind it. I’m building Squid because I think agents won’t become truly autonomous until they can manage their own economic actions safely.
