Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Niraj, the maker of SpurSpace.
As a 3rd-year CS student, I kept noticing a gap: we are hyper-connected globally, but it's surprisingly hard to find out what spontaneous activities are happening right outside our doors. I wanted to solve that, so I built SpurSpace.
It’s a hyperlocal social platform focused entirely on what's happening near you. Whether it's finding a pickup game, a local meetup, or just exploring local activities, the goal is to make real-world connections frictionless.
I built the mobile app using Flutter to keep the UI smooth and responsive, while handling the location-based queries on the backend. Going from concept to a live app on the Play Store has been a massive learning experience in managing map optimization and real-time feeds.
