Split the Drive

Meet halfway by drive time, not by map distance

Most halfway tools drop a pin at the map midpoint. But roads aren't straight or equally fast, so one person ends up driving much longer. Split the Drive finds the meeting point where the driving time is actually fair: the shortest possible longest drive, or drives as equal as possible. Add two or more people, mark anyone who should drive less, then browse real parks, coffee shops, restaurants and cinemas near the spot. Free, no sign-up, and every result is a shareable link.

Hey Product Hunt! I built Split the Drive because "let's meet halfway" usually means someone eyeballs the middle of a map, and one person quietly ends up with the longer drive. A map midpoint splits the distance, but what people care about is time behind the wheel, and roads aren't equally fast on both sides. So the app splits the time instead: - Fairest: makes the longest single drive as short as possible - Equal drives: makes everyone's drive as close to equal as possible - Weights: mark someone as "drives less" (kids in the car, tight schedule) - Real parks, coffee shops, restaurants and cinemas near the spot, with each person's drive time to them - Share the result as a link so the other person sees exactly the same thing I had long-distance couples and friends, co-parents doing custody exchanges, and family meetups in mind while building it. It's free with no sign-up. I'd really like to hear where it gets something wrong, or what would make you reach for it the next time you meet someone halfway.
