spFlat!
Effortless SPF Flattening & Automatic Management
Prevent PermError and bypass the SPF 10-lookup limit automatically. Continuous 24/7 IP monitoring & 1-click DNS updates. Test your domain for free today!
Hey everyone! 👋
spFlat! started as a personal itch I couldn't stop scratching.
Running email for multiple domains, I kept hitting the same silent killer: SPF records with too many `include:` mechanisms quietly pushing past the RFC 7208 10-DNS-lookup limit — resulting in PermErrors and mail landing in spam. And the frustrating part? You often only find out after deliverability has tanked.
I looked at the existing tools and found great DMARC reporting suites - but nothing that simply and affordably *keeps your SPF record valid* automatically. Flattening an SPF record by hand is a one-time fix that silently breaks the next time a provider changes their IP ranges. That's not a fix, that's a ticking time bomb.
So I built spFlat!:
🔍 Free SPF lookup & PermError audit: paste your domain, see your lookup count instantly
⚙️ Automated flattening - includes resolved to direct IPs, 1 DNS lookup total
🔄 24/7 monitoring - provider IP range changes are picked up and the record stays valid, hands-off
🏢 MSP-friendly - built to manage SPF for many client domains
The site just got a fresh redesign too, check out the before/after flattening demo on the homepage.
I'd love your feedback: does the free lookup tool give you what you need? What would make you trust an automated DNS tool? AMA — I'm here all day. 🙏

Who hunted spFlat!?
spFlat! was hunted by Ted van den Brink. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
