Hi Product Hunt. I’m Hudson, and I make Round Rehearsal, an app for practicing interviews and speeches out loud.
These two checkers are its free part. They run in your browser, need no account, and nothing you paste is uploaded or stored.
- Speech timer: word count, run time at 130 and 150 words per minute, how many words to add or cut for a target length, and filler words highlighted in place.
- STAR checker: marks which sentences read as Situation, Task, Action and Result, times the answer against a 60 to 120 second planning window, counts “I” against “we”, and notes when the result names no concrete outcome.
They use simple, visible rules, not an AI model, so a missing STAR mark only means a cue phrase wasn’t there. It’s a prompt to look again, not a grade.
If you want to say it out loud next, Round Rehearsal’s spoken practice is paid ($19 for five mock interviews or a $9 seven-day speech pass), with one spoken run free after an email sign-in.
