SoundScape

Build and run powerful Mac audio flows visually

SoundScape is a native, open-source node-based audio workstation for macOS. Route audio between microphones, individual apps, system audio, effects, recorders, and hardware outputs on an infinite canvas. Host Audio Unit and VST3 plug-ins, record WAV or CAF, branch flows to multiple outputs, and remove playback from your mic with real-time WebRTC AEC3. Projects and plug-in states stay local, while running flows continue from the menu bar.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built SoundScape because audio routing on macOS often means juggling multiple utilities, opaque device settings, and workflows that are hard to understand at a glance. I wanted the routing itself to feel visual: connect a microphone, an app, system audio, effects, recorders, and outputs like building a flowchart. SoundScape is native, open source, and local-first. It supports Audio Unit and VST3 effects, WAV/CAF recording, multi-output routing, and real-time WebRTC AEC3 echo cancellation. Flows keep running in the background and stay accessible from the menu bar. This is an active early release, and I’d love feedback from podcasters, streamers, musicians, and anyone with a complicated Mac audio setup. What audio workflow should I tackle next?
