SoundRelay

Route any app, mic or system audio anywhere on your Mac

Route and record any audio on your Mac. SoundRelay creates virtual audio devices that capture any app, mic or system sound, and lets you wire them to outputs in a visual graph — per-line volume, live monitoring, up to 16 channels per device. Devices show up as normal mics and speakers, so Zoom, OBS and any DAW just work. Built natively on Core Audio, no kernel extensions, 100% local. Free to try, no account. A lightweight alternative to Loopback at a fraction of the price.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I'm the solo developer behind SoundRelay (building from Lithuania 🇱🇹). I made it because routing audio between apps on a Mac always felt harder than it should be — Loopback is great but costs $99, and the free options mean fighting with Audio MIDI Setup and virtual cables.

SoundRelay is my attempt at the middle ground: a native app where you drop sources (any app, mic or system audio) onto virtual devices in a visual graph, and they show up as regular inputs in Zoom, OBS or your DAW. Per-line volume, live monitoring, up to 16 channels per device.

Under the hood it's a Core Audio server plugin — no kernel extensions, and nothing ever leaves your Mac.

The trial is free with no account, so you can test your whole setup before paying (€35 lifetime or €10/month).

🎉 Launch special: use code PRODUCTHUNT at checkout for 20% off the Lifetime license.

I'd love your feedback — especially from podcasters and streamers. Happy to answer any technical questions about how it works!
